The City Council of the City of Riverside, California~ does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, a~ follows: Section 1: That a special election be held, and the same is hereby called to be held, in the City of Riverside on April 10, ]973, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said city proposals by this City Council to amend Section 1000 of the charter of the Cit~ of Riverside and a proposal to amend Sections 1200~ 1201 and 12011 of said Charter and add additional Sections 1201~.~, 1204.2 and 1201~.3 to said Charter. Section 2: That on its own motion and pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the State of California, this City Council hereby submits to the electors of said City proposals to amend the Charter of said City by amending Section 1000 to read as follows: (PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT A) "Section 1000. Seneral Municipal E]ect~ons. General municipal elections for the clcetion of officers and For such other purposes as the City Council may prescribe shall be held ~n the city on the third Tuesday in April in each odd year commencing with the year 1975." and by a provision amending Sections 1200, 1201 and 1204 and addln~ Sections 120~.], 120~.2 and 1201~.3, as follows:
