I <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br /> 20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br /> 24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br /> 26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />28 <br /> <br />99 <br /> <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. ~2054 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF <br />AH APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />PURPOSES TO THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE, ACCEPTING SAID GRANT AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE GRANT APPLICATION, AGREEIHG <br />TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS, AND <br />ACKNOWLEDOINO THAT GRANT MONIES SHALL NOT BE USED <br />TO SUPPLANT ONGOING LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPENDITURES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the California Council on Criminal Justice may <br />consent to review for possible funding the project submitted <br /> <br />by the City of Riverside referred to as Crime-Specific Burglary <br />which is a total program designed to drastically reduce <br />'burglaries through oublic awareness, education and inv61vement, <br />improved security, improved surveillance and enforcement, <br />improved investigation, and by decreasing the receiver market; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the <br /> City of Riverside is directed to execute and submit to the <br /> California Council on Criminal Justice on behalf of the City of <br /> Riverside, the appiication for a grant for law enforcement <br /> purposes. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the California <br /> Council on Criminal Justice consents to fund the above project, <br /> the City of Riverside agrees to accept the grant and designates <br /> the Mayor of the City of Riverside to execute on behalf of the <br /> City of Riverside the contract for the grant for law enforcement <br /> <br /> BE <br />to provide <br /> <br /> IT agrees <br /> <br /> the required matching funds to said project, <br />matching funds to consist of in-kind services, <br /> BE IT FURTNER RESOLVED that <br />under shall not be used to supplant <br />expenditures, <br /> <br /> ADOPTED by the City Council and slg~d~by the Mayor and <br /> <br />attested by the City Clerk h day ebruary~ 1973. <br /> <br />Attest: Mayor of ~he City of Riverside <br /> <br />Uity ~erk of~Ke City of Riverside <br /> <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Riverside <br /> <br /> said <br /> <br />grant funds received here- <br />ongoing law enforcement <br /> <br /> <br />
