UE-74-2, AND RESCINDING <br />RESOLUTION NO; 12042, WHIcn RESOLUTION REQUESTED <br />AN ALLOCATION OF STATE HIGHWAY FUNDS UNDER <br />SECTION 14 3.3 OF ~'HE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS on January 23, 1973, the City Council of the <br />city of Riverside.adopted Resolution No. 12042 requesting State <br /> <br />participation in the wideni~g of La Sierra Avenue through the <br />state Urban Extension Program, and following state allocation <br /> <br />said City Council on January 8, 1974, authorized execution of <br /> <br />the necessary Local Agency state Agreement for the construction <br /> <br />and financing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS federal funds have become available since that <br /> <br />time for the same project on a Federal-Local sharing ratio of <br /> <br />70-30 and the city council has opted by authorization of execution <br /> <br />of an agreement on January 8, 1974 to finance the project with <br /> <br />Federal participation, and State Urban Extension Funds will no <br /> <br />longer be required; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the California Department of Trans~ortation has <br />requested cancellation of the request by the City of Riverside <br /> <br />for participation of State Urban Extension funds for the widening <br /> <br />of La Sierra Avenue between the Freeway and Hole Avenuej <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Riverside, California, that Resolution No. 12042 <br /> <br />of the City Council of the city of Riverside be rescinded. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Local Agency-State <br /> <br />Agreement No. UE-74-2 Federal Aid Secondary Roads be terminated. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and <br />attested by the City Clerk this 14th day of January, 1975. <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br /> <br />M/Af.l:1 <br />ayor 0 .1e <br /> <br />
