( 1 2 RESOLUTION NO. 12976 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 12499, I\S A/oIENDED" BY AMENDING PARAGRAPHS (1) AND (2)' OF SUBSECTION (a) OF SECTION 2 TO REINSTATE COMPENSATORY TIME OFF PROVISIONS FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE ELECTRICAL FIELD UNIT; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 10 TO INCREASE FROM $45 TO $60 THE CITY'S MAXIMUM CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR SAID EMPLOYEES IN THE ELECTRICAL FIELD UNIT. 3 ~ 5 6 7 The City Council of the City of Riverside does resolve 8 as follows: 9 Section I, Paragraphs (1) and (2) of Subsection (a) 10 of Section 2 of Resolution No. 12499, as amended by Resolutions 11 Nos. 12704, 12728, 12765, 12832, 12833, 12872, 12958, and 12974, 12 are hereby further amended to reinstate compensatory time off 13 provisions for employees in the Electrical Field Unit to read 1 ~ as follm<s: 15 16 17 18 19 20 22 23 2~ 25 26 , { CIT't ATTOltNI:Y "IVait.IDII CALI,.Ol'llHIA 21 "(1) Each permanent full-time employee in the General Employee Unit when required to work emergency overtime between the hours of twelve midnight and seven a.m. shall be compensated at the rate of two times his hourly rate, and each permanent full-time employee in the Electrical Field Unit when required to work emergency overtime between the hours of twelve midnight and the start of said employee's shift shall be compensated at the rate of two times his hourly rate. This provision excludes all employees who work these hours on a regular scheduled shift; employees in the Electrical Field Unit may request compensatory time off as provided in Section 2(a) (2). (2) Each permanent full-time employee other than those employed forty-eight or more hours per week and other than Fire protection and Police enforcement may request compensatory time off for overtime worked in lieu of cash payment, subject to the approval by the department head, except employees in the Electrical Field Unit who shall have the discretion of accumulating compensatory time off; provided, however, accrued compensatory time off is limited at any point in time to forty-two normal working hours calculated by multiplying the number of hours of overtime worked by one and one-half; and provided, further, that a Public Service Department Refuse Collection employee shall also be compensated at the rate of one and one- half times the normal hourly rate when required to assist in the completion of an additional route." 27 28 29 30 31 32 Section 2: Section 10 of Resolution No. 12499, as amended
