<br />( <br /> <br />1 <br />2 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12976 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 12499, <br />I\S A/oIENDED" BY AMENDING PARAGRAPHS (1) AND (2)' OF <br />SUBSECTION (a) OF SECTION 2 TO REINSTATE COMPENSATORY <br />TIME OFF PROVISIONS FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE ELECTRICAL <br />FIELD UNIT; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 10 TO INCREASE <br />FROM $45 TO $60 THE CITY'S MAXIMUM CONTRIBUTION <br />TOWARDS HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR SAID EMPLOYEES <br />IN THE ELECTRICAL FIELD UNIT. <br /> <br />3 <br />~ <br /> <br />5 <br />6 <br /> <br />7 The City Council of the City of Riverside does resolve <br />8 as follows: <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />Section I, Paragraphs (1) and (2) of Subsection (a) <br /> <br />10 of Section 2 of Resolution No. 12499, as amended by Resolutions <br /> <br />11 Nos. 12704, 12728, 12765, 12832, 12833, 12872, 12958, and 12974, <br /> <br />12 are hereby further amended to reinstate compensatory time off <br /> <br />13 provisions for employees in the Electrical Field Unit to read <br />1 ~ as follm<s: <br /> <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br />2~ <br />25 <br />26 <br /> <br />, <br />{ <br /> <br />CIT't ATTOltNI:Y <br />"IVait.IDII <br />CALI,.Ol'llHIA <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />"(1) Each permanent full-time employee in the General <br />Employee Unit when required to work emergency <br />overtime between the hours of twelve midnight <br />and seven a.m. shall be compensated at the rate <br />of two times his hourly rate, and each permanent <br />full-time employee in the Electrical Field Unit <br />when required to work emergency overtime between <br />the hours of twelve midnight and the start of said <br />employee's shift shall be compensated at the rate <br />of two times his hourly rate. This provision <br />excludes all employees who work these hours on <br />a regular scheduled shift; employees in the <br />Electrical Field Unit may request compensatory <br />time off as provided in Section 2(a) (2). <br /> <br />(2) Each permanent full-time employee other than those <br />employed forty-eight or more hours per week and <br />other than Fire protection and Police enforcement <br />may request compensatory time off for overtime <br />worked in lieu of cash payment, subject to the <br />approval by the department head, except employees <br />in the Electrical Field Unit who shall have the <br />discretion of accumulating compensatory time off; <br />provided, however, accrued compensatory time off <br />is limited at any point in time to forty-two <br />normal working hours calculated by multiplying <br />the number of hours of overtime worked by one and <br />one-half; and provided, further, that a Public <br />Service Department Refuse Collection employee shall <br />also be compensated at the rate of one and one- <br />half times the normal hourly rate when required <br />to assist in the completion of an additional route." <br /> <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 10 of Resolution No. 12499, as amended <br />
