t ( 1 RESOLUTION NO. 12971 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE SEVENTH WARD OF SAID CITY OF RIVERSIDE ON THE 21ST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1976; DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. 3 ~ 5 6 WHEREAS a special Municipal Election was held and con- 7 ducted in the Seventh Ward of the city of Riverside, County of 8 Riverside, State of California, on Tuesday the 21st day of 9 December, 1976, as required by law; and 10 ffilEREAS notice of said election was duly and regularly II given in time, form and manner as provided by law, voting precincts 12 were properly established; election officers were appointed; 13 and that in all respects said election was held and the returns l~ made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the 15 provisions of the Charter of the City of Riverside and the 16 Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of 17 public elections in the City of Riverside; and 18 WHEREAS pursuant to Resolution No. 12948 adopted the 19 16th day of November, 1976, the appropriate County official can- 20 vassed the return of said election and has certified the results 21 to this City Council and said results are received, attached and 22 made a part hereof as Exhibit IIAII; 23 2~ 25 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Riverside does RESOLVE as follows. I , i , i Section I. That there were nineteen (19) voting precincts 26 established for the purpose of holding said Special Municipal 27 Election consisting of the consolidation of the twenty-one (21) 28 regular election precincts in the Seventh Ward in the City of 29 Riverside as established for the holding of state and county 30 elections.
