ii i? 20 22 2~ 2~ 26 28 29 BO ii EESOLGTION EO. i~a~ ^ R~SO~ION 0P~%~ CITY CONNCIn O~ TR~ CZW OZ RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CIRCULATION AND TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT OF TIlE GENERAL PLAN BY ADOPTING AN ALIGNMENT FOR MADISON STREET BETWEEN WASHINGTON STREET ON THE WEST AND ALESSANDRO BOULEVARD ON THE EAST AND DESIGNATING SAID PORTION OF MADISON STREE~ AS A iI0-FOOT-WIDE MAJOR ARTERIAL. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Riverside has duly adopted a Circulation and Transportation Element of the General Plan, including therein a general alignment for Madison Street; and WHEREAS it has heretofore been proposed that said Circu- lation and Transportation Element be amended by adopting a new alignment for a certain portion of Madison Street; and WHEREAS the P]annJnq Comm~sslon of the City of Riverside held a dn]y advertised public meeting at the City Hall on October 21, 1976, and considered the adoption of the proposed new alignment of Madison Street, and heard and considered evi- dence introduced and statements made at said hearing, and there- upon recommended to the City Council that said Circulation and Transportation Element be amended by adopting a new alignment for a portion of Madison Street; and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Riverside held a duly advertised public hearing on said proposed amendment to the Circulation and Transportation Element of the General Plan at the City Sail on January il, 1977, and considered the determi- nations and reco~endations of the Planning ConUnlssion, and considered the evidence introduced and statements made at said hearing; NOW, TSEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside that the Circulation and Transportation Element of the General Plan is hereby amended as follows: 1, Any previously designated general alignment for that
