16 l? 18 19 20 2~ 26 30 31 RESOLUTION NO. 13601 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY cOuNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDEi CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION AND THi~ CONTRACT FOR EISTORIC PRESERVATION SURVEY FUNDS FOR TEE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. WHEREAS the Congress under Public Law 89-665 has authorized the establishment of a National Historic Preservation Program, providing matching funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for historic preservation, survey, plan- ning, development and acquisition projects; and WEEREAS the State Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS said adoptcd procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the local governing Budy to approve in writing the app]icants proposal and to agree that all required local matching funds will be provided for the project; and WHEreAS the sams said procedures require the governing body to certify by resolution the approval of the contract and the availability of local funds to be submitted at the time of execution of said contract with the State; NOW, THEREFOP~E, BE IT RESOLUED by th~ city Counc~ 1 ot the City of Riverside as follows: Section 1: That the Mayor of the City of Riverside is hereby authorized to exucute such documents as may be required to contract for the grant for the historic preservation survey. Section 2: That the Muset%~ Director for the City of Riverside iz hereby appointed as agent of the City to coordinate and process all ancillary doctunents within the scope ot the contract and is hureby'authorized to execute all amendments to such contract.
