16 <br /> <br /> l? <br /> <br /> 18 <br /> <br /> 19 <br /> <br /> 20 <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13601 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY cOuNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDEi CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br /> AND THi~ CONTRACT FOR EISTORIC PRESERVATION SURVEY <br /> FUNDS FOR TEE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Congress under Public Law 89-665 has authorized <br />the establishment of a National Historic Preservation Program, <br />providing matching funds to the State of California and its <br />political subdivisions for historic preservation, survey, plan- <br />ning, development and acquisition projects; and <br /> <br /> WEEREAS the State Department of Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />is responsible for the administration of the program within <br />the state, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing <br />application by local agencies under the program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS said adoptcd procedures established by the State <br />Department of Parks and Recreation require the local governing <br />Budy to approve in writing the app]icants proposal and to agree <br />that all required local matching funds will be provided for <br />the project; and <br /> <br /> WHEreAS the sams said procedures require the governing <br />body to certify by resolution the approval of the contract <br />and the availability of local funds to be submitted at the time <br />of execution of said contract with the State; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOP~E, BE IT RESOLUED by th~ city Counc~ 1 ot <br /> <br />the City of Riverside as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1: That the Mayor of the City of Riverside is <br />hereby authorized to exucute such documents as may be required <br />to contract for the grant for the historic preservation survey. <br /> <br /> Section 2: That the Muset%~ Director for the City of <br />Riverside iz hereby appointed as agent of the City to coordinate <br />and process all ancillary doctunents within the scope ot the <br />contract and is hureby'authorized to execute all amendments <br />to such contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
