CABLE COMMUNICATIOflS, APPROVING THE SUBSEQUENT SALE TO RIVERSIDE PROPERTIRSt AND PERMITTING A 75-MILE EXPANSION OF THE SYSTEM. W~REAS on July 23, 1974, Riverside Cable TV, Inc. was found by the City Council to have failed to comply with and to have violated certain te~ms of its Franchise and was found in default; and WHEREAS Ordinance No. 4135 of California, was adopted on August 13, the City of Riverside, 1974 placing a one-year moratoritu~ on further cable television development except in a certain area of the city; and WHEREAS the owners of Riverside Cable TV, Inc. have requested that the company be taken out of default, that the acquisition of Riverside Cable TV, Inc. by B.F.M. Cable Cor~uni- cations Corporation and the subsequent acquisition by Riverside Properties be approved, and that the expansion of the system in phases be authorized; and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Rivcrsidu held a public hearing at City Hall on September 19, 1978 and October 3, 1978 relative to the Riverside Cable TV franchise and the requests of the owners of Riverside Cable TV, Inc.; NOW THEREFOItE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rivcrsidu as follows: 1. Riverside Cable TV, Inc. is hereby removed from the default position. 2. The sale of Riverside Cable TV, Inc. to B.F.M. Cable Co~unications Corporation and the subsequent sale to Riverside Properties is hereby approved subject to approval by the City Attorney of the required bond. 3. A 75-mile expansion of the cable television system
