<br />RESOLUTION NO. 846 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING FINDINGS <br />PURSUANT TO HEALTH & SAFETY CODE SECTION 33445 AND <br />AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF COSTS FOR PUBLICLY OWNED <br />PROJECTS WITHIN OR WITHOUT THE UNIVERSITY/SYCAMORE <br />CANYON REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA FOR <br />IMPROVEMENTS CONSISTING OF THE INST ALLA TION OF A <br />RESILIENT SOCCER FIELD AT BOBBY BONDS PARK. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside, California <br /> <br />("Agency") desires and intends to pay for all and/or part of the cost for the construction <br /> <br />and installation of public improvements consisting of the installation of a resilient soccer <br /> <br />field at Bobby Bonds Park ("Improvements") within or without the University/Sycamore <br /> <br />Canyon Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 33445 provides that the Agency <br /> <br />may, with the consent of the legislative body, pay all or part of the value of the land for, <br /> <br />and the cost of the installation and construction of, any building, facility, structure, or <br /> <br />other improvements that is publicly owned either within or without the Project Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Improvements will consist of site preparation, fencing, site <br /> <br />amenities, reconfiguration of the irrigation system and the specialized maintenance <br /> <br />equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, while Bobby Bonds Park is outside, but adjacent to, the Project Area <br /> <br />boundary, the future improvements will be of benefit to the Project Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the improvements will reduce blight in the Project Area and its <br /> <br />surrounding neighborhoods by providing a more positive outlet for the community youth <br />
