5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 I II ~~ !I _0 .1 29 ~ 30 :1 ., ;1 31 ,I I' I 9/5/80 32 CTl1c CITY ATTO""IEV "IVE"S1OC CAUI'O""lA ORDINANCE NO. 4831 2 3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE TAXPAYERS I INITIATIVE ORDINANCE TO REDUCE COSTLY URBAN SPRAWL BY PRESERVING RIVERSIDE'S CITRUS AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS, ITS UNIQUE HILLS, ARROYOS, AND VICTORIA AVENUE (MEASURE R) TO FURTHER THE PURPOSES OF THE INITIATIVE ORDINANCE BY MAXING IT INAPPLICABLE TO ALL PROPERTY ZONED WATERCOURSE (WC) IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE INITIATIVE. 4 WHEREAS the City Council finds and determines that the amendment to the Taxpayers' Initiative Ordinance to Reduce Costly Urban Sprawl by Preserving Riverside's Citrus and Agricultural Lands, Its Unique Hills, Arroyos, and Victoria Avenue (Measure R) as herein provided furthers the purposes of the initiative ordinance; and WHEREAS the City Council finds and determines that it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the amendment may have a significant effect on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows: Section 1: The Taxpayers' Initiative Ordinance to Reduce Costly Urban Sprawl by Preserving Riverside's Citrus and Agri- cultural Lands, Its Unique Hills, Arroyos, and Victoria Avenue is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 4.5 to read as follows: "Section 4.5. This Ordinance does not apply to any property zoned Watercourse (We) immediately prior to the effective date of the initiative." Section 2:, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in The Press. This ordinance shall become effective on the 30th day after the date of its adoption. ADOPTED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk this Attest: ~ff . _ tl. 1#.
