<br /> 5 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 <br /> 8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />111 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />.18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />2" <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br /> <br />CITY ..no...." <br />.'''...,Da <br />C"L.I~O."'" <br /> <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />" <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 47.5.5 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />~DgNDING SECTION 5 OF THE TAXPAYERS' INITIATIVE <br />ORDINANCE TO REDUCB COSTLY URBAN SPRAWL BY PRESERVING <br />RIVERSIDE'S CITRUS AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS, ITS UNIQUE <br />HILLS, ARROYOS, AND VICTORIA AVENUB (MEASURE R) TO <br />FURTHER THE PURPOSES OP THE INITIATIVE ORDINANCE BY <br />PROVIDING CERTAIN NON-CONFORMING RIGHTS FOR EXISTING <br />BUILDINGS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council finds and determines that the <br />amendment to Section 5 of the Taxpayers' Initiative Ordinance to <br />Reduce Costly Urban Sprawl by Preserving Riverside's Citrus and <br />Agricultural Lands, Its Unique Hills, Arroyos, and Victoria <br />Avenue (Measure R) as herein provided furthers the purposes of <br />the initiative ordinance by providing certain non-conforming <br />rights for existing commercial and industrial buildings as well <br />as residential dwellings, and <br />WHEREAS the City Council finds and determines that it <br />can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the <br />provision of such non-conforming rights for existing buildings <br /> <br />may have a significant effect on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Riverside <br /> <br />does ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 5 of the Taxpayers' Initiative <br /> <br />Ordinance to Reduce Costly Urban Sprawl By Preserving Riverside's <br /> <br />Citrus and Agricultural Lands, Its Unique Hills, Arroyos, and <br /> <br />Victoria Avenue (Measure R) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section S. The zoning standards and requirements <br />of this ordinance shall not apply to any buildings exist- <br />ing prior to or under construction on the date of the <br />enactMent of this ordinance or to the restoration or <br />rehabilitation of or to any additions to such buildings <br />provided that the use, restoration, rehabilitation or <br />additions shall conform to the zoning in existence <br />immediately prior to the effective date of this <br />ordinance." <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption <br />of this ordinance and cause it to be p.ublished once in The Press. <br />This ordinance shall become effective on the 30th day after the <br /> <br />. <br />
