~ AMD-11-801 AMD-12-801 AMD-13-801 1 ORD I NANCE NO. 5585 3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, PLACING THE PROVISIONS OF THE "TAXPAYERS' INITIATIVE ORDINANCE TO REDUCE COSTLY URBAN SPRAWL BY PRESERVING RIVERSIDE'S CITRUS AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS, ITS UNIQUE HILLS, ARROYOS, AND VICTORIA AVENUE", ENACTED NOVEMBER 13, 1979, IN TITLE 19 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE AND ESTABLISHING DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR THE RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL ZONE AND THE RESIDENTIAL CONSERVATION ZONE. 2 4 5 6 7 The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as 8 follows: 9 Section 1: Chapter 19.04 of the Riverside Municipal 10 Code is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 19.04.038 11 to read as follows: 12 "19.04.038 AVERAGE NATURAL SLOPE. 'Average natural slope' means the average natural inclination of the 13 ground surface of a lot or parcel expressed as a percent and as measured by the following formula: 14 15 16 S = 0.002296xIxL A 17 18 Whe,re: S = I = L = A = 0.002296 = average natural slope in percent natural contour interval in feet length of natural contours in feet acres of property (parcel of record existing on November 13, 1979) constant which converts square feet into acres and expresses slope in percent 19 20 21 22 The average natural slope shall be computed from photogrametric maps, grading permit plans and other data or evidence approved by the Public Works Department." 23 Section 2: Section 19.04.240 of the Riverside Municipal 24 Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 25 "19.04.240 LOT AREA. 'Lot area' means the total horizontal area within the lot lines of a lot except 26 that in the RA-S zone 'lot area' includes that portion of the adjoining street or streets measured from the 27 street centerline or centerlines."
