1 ORDINANCE NO. 5561 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 4 OF THE TAXPAYERS' INITIATIVE 3 ORDINANCE TO REDUCE COSTLY URBAN SPRAWL BY PRESERVING RIVERSIDE'S CITRUS AND AGRICULTURAL 4 LANDS, ITS UNIQUE HILLS, ARROYOS, AND VICTORIA AVENUE (MEASURE R) TO FURTHER THE PURPOSES OF THE 5 INITIATIVE ORDINANCE BY DELETING FROM ZONE RC CERTAIN LAND PREVIOUSLY PLACED IN THAT ZONE BY 6 MEASURE R AND BY ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT THAT MINIMUM LOT SIZES OF NON-RC-ZONED LAND BE BASED 7 UPON THE AVERAGE NATURAL SLOPE OF THE LOT. 8 The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, 9 does ordain as follows: 10 Section 1: The first paragraph of Section 4 of the 11 Taxpayers' Initiative Ordinance to Reduce Costly Urban Sprawl by 12 Preserving Riverside's Citrus and Agricultural Lands, its Unique 13 Hills, Arroyos, and Victoria Avenue (Measure R) is hereby 14 amended to read as follows: 15 "Section 4. The Residential Conservation (RC) Zone as described in the Riverside Municipal Code on May 15, 16 1979, and as amended to further the purposes of Measure R is hereby applied to the following property: 17 18 19 20 21 22 (a) All property shown in the Residential Conservation (RC) Zone on the Residential Conservation (RC) Zone Mapping Project Maps on file in the Planning Department of the City of Riverside. (b) All property having an average natural slope of 15 percent or more situated within the current boundary of the Sycamore Canyon Specific Plan excepting therefrom any property which has been rezoned to further the purposes of Measure R. 23 211 25 26 27 (c) All property having an average natural slope of 15 percent or more situated within the current boundary of the Sycamore Canyon Business Park Specific Plan excepting therefrom any property which has been rezoned to further the purposes of Measure R.
