<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18,2007,12 P.M. <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />CITY HALL <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge convened the meeting, with all Councilmembers present <br />except Councilmember Bailey at 12:10 p.m. in the Mayor's Ceremonial <br />Room. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bailey arrived during the following discussion. <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES - CONTINUED IN PART <br />State Legislative Advocate Jim Gross provided an update on the <br />2007 activities and accomplishments and the 2008 political outlook. <br />The Mayor and City Council discussed the 2008 Legislative priorities. The <br />Federal Legislative update with Advocate Lynn Jacquez was continued to <br />January 8, 2008. No formal action was required or taken. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed at 1 :30 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. <br />in the Art Pick Council Chamber with Mayor Loveridge presiding and all <br />Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS <br /> <br />RIVERSIDE RENAISSANCE - MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION, <br />MITIGATION MONITORING REPORT PROGRAM, AND MASTER <br />PLAN - ARLINGTON HEIGHTS SPORTS PARK - VICTORIA/VAN <br />BUREN/CLEVELAND/GIBSON - CONTINUED <br />Hearing was called relative to the adoption of a Mitigated Negative <br />Declaration and Mitigation Monitoring Report Program and approval of a <br />Master Plan for an approximately 35-acre Arlington Heights Sports Park <br />(formerly known as the Riverside Youth Sports Complex), including three <br />lighted ballfields, eight lighted soccer fields, two lighted basketball courts, <br />children's play area, picnic facilities, shade structures, lighted parking lots, <br />multi-purpose recreational trail, restroom/concession building, restroom <br />building, citrus tree plantings, and screening tree plantings, bounded by <br />Victoria Avenue, Van Buren Boulevard, Cleveland Avenue, and Gibson <br />Street. No one was present to speak on the matter. One letter was <br />presented and considered.
