1 RESOLUTION NO. 21466 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 21456 AND REVISING THE QUESTION TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE A T A SPECIAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 6,2007. 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riverside adopted Resolution No. 21456 on July 10, 2007, ordering, calling, providing for and giving notice of a special municipal election to be held in said City on the 6th day of November, 2007, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the City of Riverside, certain amendments to the Charter of the City of Riverside, and giving notice and ordering that said special municipal election is consolidated with all other elections being held in the same territory on the same date; and WHEREAS, Section 1 of the Resolution set forth the text of the question to be submitted to the qualified electors of the City of Riverside at a special election on November 6,2007; and WHEREAS, the specific language of that question or measure must be abbreviated in form in order not to exceed 75 words and therefore, it is necessary to amend Resolution No. 21456. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, as follows: Resolution No. 21456, Section 1, lines 16-24 are hereby amended to read as follows: Shall the Charter of the City of Riverside be amended to provide for an administrative fine for any person or entity who shall cause or permit any railway train or railway cars or similar vehicle on rails or other vehicle to stop or stand or to be operated in such a manner as to block any public highway- rail grade crossings and delay the response of an authorized emergency vehicle except under emergency circumstances? - 1 -
