Beeman 4450 121h Street Riverside, CA 92501 Subject: CITY COUNCIL RULES OF ORDER AND DECORUM Dear Ms. Beeman: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that City Council Resolution No. 20987 establishes the Rules of Order and Decorum for the meetings of the Riverside City Council. Directing your attention to section Vll, paragraph A, members of the public attending the City Council meetings shall observe the same rules of order and decorum applicable to the City Council and staff. In order to facilitate the orderly, expeditious and efficient transaction of City business, members of the public must preserve order and decorum and shall not, by conversation or otherwise, delay or interrupt the proceedings nor refuse to obey the orders of the City Councilor the presiding officer. PLEASE BE FURTHER ADVISED that the City Council agenda specifically provides an opportunity for Mayor and Councilmember communications. The Brown Act permits the members of the City Council to identify items for consideration at a future meeting. Public comment need not be taken at that time. On May 2, 2006, your actions with respect to this particular agenda item, served to interrupt and delay the proceedings. In the future, we would request that you conform your conduct accordingly.
