CORRECTED <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> 12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br /> 21 <br /> <br /> 22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br />CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5720 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 9.48 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 9.48,095 <br />REQUIRING RELEASES OR THREATENED RELEASES OF <br />HAZARDOUS MATERIAL TO BE REPORTED TO THE RIVERSIDE <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, <br /> <br />does ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 9.48 of the Riverside Municipal Code <br /> <br />is hereby amended to add thereto a new section, Section 9.48,095, <br /> <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />" 9.48,095 Hazardous Material Release Report. <br /> (a) Except as provided in subdivision (b), a <br />handler shall, upon discovery, immediately report any <br />release or threatened release of a hazardous material in <br />the City of Riverside to the Riverside Fire Department. <br />Each handler shall provide all state, city or county fire <br />or public health or safety personnel and emergency rescue <br />personnel with access to the handler's facility. <br /> (b) Subdivision (a) does not apply to any person <br />engaged in transportation of a hazardous material on a <br />highway which is subject to and in compliance with the <br />requirements of Sections 2453 and 23112.5 of the <br />California Vehicle Code." <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the <br />adoption of this ordinance and cause publication once in a <br />newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of <br />the Charter of the City of Riverside.
