AMD-5-889 <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> ? <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />~3 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />~8 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br /> 21 <br /> <br /> 22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5717 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />AMENDING TITLE 19 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY <br />ADDING SECTION 19.68,060; AMENDING SECTIONS 19.69,020 <br />AND 19.69,040; AND DELETING SECTION 19.70,183 <br />TO REGULATE MOTOR VEHICLE REPAIR IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES <br />AND BY ADDING SECTION 19.74,052; BY AMENDING SECTIONS <br />19.74.060 AND 19.74.150; AND BY DELETING SECTIONS <br />19.70.180 AND 19.70.182 TO REGULATE PARKING IN FRONT <br />YARDS AND STREET SIDE YARDS IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 19.68 of the Riverside Municipal Code <br /> <br />is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 19.68.060 to <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> "19.68.060 REPAIR, MAINTENANCE OR OVERHAUL OF MOTOR <br />VEHICLES. Repair of motor vehicles in any residential <br />zone shall be limited to the following: <br /> <br /> a. Motor vehicle repairs occurring in any front <br />or street side yard, or in any area visible to a <br />public street shall occur only on a legal driveway <br />area or parking space and shall be limited to the <br />minor repair of no more than one vehicle at a time. <br />Minor repairs to any one vehicle shall not exceed <br />two days in any thirty day period. Minor repairs <br />include a tune-up, brake repair, hose and fan belt <br />replacement, electrical system repair, fuel system <br />repair and similar work performed on a motor <br />vehicle. Minor repair does not include any engine <br />overhaul or dismantling, drive train repair, <br />suspension repair, upholstery, bodywork, refinishing <br />or frame work. <br /> <br /> b. Major motor vehicle repairs shall be <br />conducted in a completely enclosed garage or a rear <br />yard area enclosed by 6' high fencing. On <br />properties with no completely enclosed garage or <br />where access to the rear yard is not possible, a <br />Temporary Use Permit must be obtained per Section <br />19.69.020 permitting the repair work. <br /> <br /> c.
