<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA,
<br />AMENDING CHAPTER 16.32 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL
<br />CODE IN ORDER TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE 1988
<br />EDITION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE AND THE UNIFORM
<br />FIRE CODE STANDARDS AND TO PROVIDE FOR REVISIONS TO
<br />SAID CHAPTER RELATING TO THE ADOPTION OF SAID CODES.
<br />
<br />The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as
<br />
<br />follows:
<br />
<br />Section 1: Section 16.32,020 of the Riverside Municipal
<br />
<br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br /> "16.32,020 UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1988 EDITION
<br />ADOPTED. The Uniform Fire Code, 1988 Edition (First
<br />Printing), including appendices and any related errata,
<br />and the Uniform Fire Code Standards, 1988 Edition (First
<br />Printing) and any related errata, promulgated by the
<br />International Conference of Building Officials and the
<br />Western Fire Chiefs Association, 5360 South Workman Mill
<br />Road, Whittier, California, which prescribes regulations
<br />consistent with nationally recognized good practice for
<br />the safeguarding, to a reasonable degree, of life and
<br />property from the hazards of fire and explosion arising
<br />from the storage, handling and use of hazardous
<br />substances, materials and devices and from conditions
<br />hazardous to life or property in the use or occupancy of
<br />buildings or premises, are adopted and by this reference
<br />are made a part of this Code with the force and effect
<br />as though set out herein in full, with the exception of
<br />the parts expressly excepted and deleted or as amended
<br />by this Chapter. One copy of each of the Uniform Fire
<br />Code and Uniform Fire Code StandardS, which have been
<br />certified as true copies, are on file and open to public
<br />inspection in the office of the City Clerk."

<br />Section 2: Section 16.32,030 of the Riverside Municipal
<br />
<br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br /> "16.32,030 SECTIONS 4.108 SUBSECTIONS a.3, b.2,
<br />c.2, c.4, c.5, f.2, f.4, f.5, g.1, j.1, 1.2, n.1, o.1,
<br />o.2, o.3, o.4, p.1, r.1, r.2, s.1, t.1, t.3, w.1 and
<br />w.2; 11.105, 11,106, 11,107, 11.112; APPENDICES II-B,
<br />II-C, II-E, III-B, III-D, IV-A and VI-C DELETED.
<br /> The chapters, sections, paragraphs and parts of the
<br />Uniform Fire Code which are excepted, deleted and not
<br />adopted are:
