Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954(e), as Presiding <br /> I Officer, the Mayor designated the Public Utilities Board Room located at <br /> 3901 Orange Street as the alternative meeting place. The City Clerk posted <br /> the change in meeting place and the press and public present were notified. <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br /> There were no comments presented at this time. <br /> AGENCY CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> The following item was approved by one motion affirming the action Motion X <br /> appropriate to the item. Second X <br /> All A yes <br /> JOINT ITEM WITH CITY COUNCIL - INCREASE IN COMPENSATION FOR <br /> AGENCY BOARD MEMBERS <br /> The City Council approved an increase in compensation for Agency Board <br /> Members and its Presiding Officer to $100 per meeting. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS/PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS <br /> MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS SALARY AND FRINGE BENEFITS - <br /> ORDINANCES INTRODUCED <br /> A hearing was called regarding the review of the salary and fringe benefits for <br /> the Mayor and Members of the City Council as required by Section 403 of the <br /> City Charter. Following discussion, the City Council (1) increased the current <br /> salary of the Mayor and the City Councilmembers by five percent; and <br /> (2) continued providing for the Mayor and the City Council members the same <br /> fringe benefits currently available to the Executive Management employees of <br /> the City; whereupon, ordinances entitled "An Ordinance of the City of <br /> Riverside, California, Establishing the Level of Compensation for Members of <br /> the City Council and Providing Certain Fringe Benefits, and Rescinding <br /> Ordinance No. 6639 In Its Entirety", and "An Ordinance of the City of <br /> Riverside, California, Establishing the Level of Compensation of the Mayor Motion X <br /> and Providing Certain Fringe Benefits and Rescinding Ordinance No. 6640 in Second X <br /> Its Entirety," were presented and introduced.
