1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />~8 <br /> <br />~9 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br /> 22 <br /> <br />2] <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 17355 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING WAIVER OF <br />FORMAL BIDDING AS REQUIRED BY RESOLUTION <br />NO. 14797, WITH RESPECT TO THE PURCHASE OF <br />BODY COVERS FOR CITY DUMP TRUCKS WHICH UTILIZE <br />THE COUNTY DUMP AT HIGHGROVE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the County Dump at Highgrove in cooperation with <br />the California Highway Patrol is mandating that all dump trucks <br />be covered in order to enter the site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City has 33 dump truck which utilize this <br />site, many of which are high sided and unsafe to cover manually; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Fleet Management Division has located a <br />simple roll-up tarp design that is spring loaded to cover <br />automatically when desired; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the cost per unit varies with design and length <br />of dump body, with the average cost per unit being approximately <br />5715 (including tax and freight); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Central garage would install the units and <br />the total purchase price of the covers would not exceed 523,620; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS time is of the essence and waiving the formal <br />bidding procedure would expedite the purchase of said body <br />covers on the open market; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Riverside that the bidding requirements of <br />Resolution No. 14797 of the City of Riverside are hereby waived <br />and authorization is hereby given for the Purchasing Services <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br />CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> <br />
