Arroyo/Watercourse Policies and GIS Mapping Project and status of document revision, <br /> input from County Flood Control, GIS, and Planning staff (City and County), <br /> recommendations for edits: (l hr, 15 min) <br /> a. GIS maps, data input, editing, and quality control. Continued from July meeting, <br /> Action: Submit GIS project to City Council and Board of Supervisors for <br /> forwarding to Planning and GIS Departments <br /> b. Status of submission revised cover letter and document (with updated definitions) <br /> to Planning Commissioners and Board of Supervisors on recommendations <br /> regarding Riverside County Land Use and Development Ordinance Commission <br /> and Planning Department and to City Council. <br /> c. Status of comments and revision of Cover Letter, and master document with table <br /> of contents, policy recommendations, figures, analysis of grading violation <br /> enforcement, outline of GIS project, watercourse classification, glossary, and <br /> native plant and weed information as approved on June 14. Discuss mechanism <br /> with Scott Barber for obtaining feedback from City Planning before final <br /> submission to Board of Supervisors and City Council. <br /> d. Discussion of projects by other Cities/Counties. City of San Jose, Riparian <br /> Corridor Policy Study (1994, 1999): analyzed stream and riparian corridors <br /> within San Jose and addressed how development should be designed to protect <br /> and preserve riparian corridors. These guidelines are being used in the <br /> development review process resulting in 50- to 100-foot setbacks from corridors <br /> for new development as well as other techniques to protect beneficial uses. <br /> Action: Incorporate references to such landmark studies into policy document. <br />3. Reports and Action Items: (8 min) <br /> a. Arroyo Watch (Dave Wahlquist) <br /> b. Grading violation process (Jennifer) <br /> c. Trails. Report on Trails Summit. (Wendy) <br /> d.
