Regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City of Riverside, held in the Council <br />Chamber, City Hall, on Tuesday, December 9, 1952, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. <br /> <br /> Present: Mayor Evans, presiding; Councilmen Rawlings, Fowler, Backstrand, Patterson, <br />Dales, Hair, and Crouch; City Attorney Ford; and City Clerk Waits. <br /> <br /> The pledge of allegiance was given to the flag of the United States of America. <br /> <br /> The Lord's Prayer was recited in unison by the assembly. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the meetings of December 2, 1952, December 3, 19~2, December 4, 1952 and <br />December 5, 1952, were read and approved. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Councilm~m Fowler, seconded by Councilman Rawlings, and duly carried, IT <br />WAS ORDERED that in connection with the request of D. E. Harris, Jr., 3863 Third Street, Riverside, f.or <br />an adjustment of the charges from the Electric Light and Water Departments for the minimum charge of <br />50¢ and the 75~ charge for sanitation service to 4207 Eighth Street and 3771 Locust Street, the City <br />Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and instructed to notify Mr. Harris, as no disconnect order had <br />been received by the Electric Li~t and Water Departmmnt subsequent to October 17, 1952, that'the <br /> <br />charges a4e entirely regular and will have to be paid to date. <br /> This motion carried by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Councilmen Rawlings, Fowler, Backstrand, Patterson, Dales, Hair, and Crouch. <br /> Noes: None. <br /> Absent: None. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Councilmsu Hair, seconded by Councilm-n Rawlings, and duly carried, IT <br />WAS ORDERED that in consideration of the report of the City Engineer, as contained in his co ~m~m~,nication <br />of December 8, 1952, this day received and filed, the bid of the Concrete Conduit Company, 899 La <br />Cadena Drive, P. 0.
