Office of the City Clerk December 19, 2005 Dear City of Riverside Voter: On November 8, 2005, the City of Riverside held a regular municipal election for the purpose, in part, of electing Councilmembers from Wards 2 and 4. As no candidate received a majority of the votes cast for those two seats, a special municipal run-off election has been called for January 17, 2006, in accordance with Section 400(c) of the Riverside City Charter. The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes cast are the runoff candidates. Sample Ballot: Read your sample ballot carefully as it contains important information about the candidates and your polling location.
