1 2 3 4 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES (Arlington Project Area Amendment) THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL 5 CONSULTANT SERVICES is made and entered into this 10th day of November, 6 1998, by and between the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, a 7 public entity, hereinafterreferred to as "Agency" and GRC Redevelopment Consultants, Inc" 1340 8 Valley Vista Drive, Ste, 120, Diamond Bar, CA 91765, a California corporation, hereinafter referred 9 to as "Consultant" with reference to the following facts: lOA. Agency and Consultant entered into that certain Agreement for Professional 11 Consultant Services dated May 19, 1998, hereinafter referred to as "Agreement" wherein Agency 12 retained Consultant to perform a feasibility study and subsequent redevelopment plan amendment 13 process for the Arlington Redevelopment Project Area. 14 B. Preliminary discussions with representatives of the City of Riverside Planning 15 Department suggest that it will be necessary to expand the scope of the environmental review of the 16 project area amendment as it relates to historic preservation. 17 C. Staff analysis suggests that two additional public meetings be held with regard to the 18 project and that there be prepared, produced and distributed an additional public newsletter related 19 to the project area amendment. 20 D. Agency and Consultant have agreed to certain modifications of the Agreement 21 pertaining to expansion of the scope of the environmental review as it relates to historic preservation 22 and the addition of two public meetings and one public newsletter related to the project area 23 amendment. 24 NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree as follows: 25 1. A new Section 1.1 is added to the Agreement to read as follows: 26 "1,1 Supplemental Services, Agency retains Consultant to perform, and 27 Consultant agrees to render, those supplemental services as defined in Exhibit "D" City Attorney's Office 3900 Main Street Riverside, CA 92522 (909) 782-5567 !
