Rossi to the i~osition of ~b!ic Service Director of the City of Riverside, effective <br /> <br />June t~ !95~ at a salary o[' .~[9~.00 per month. <br /> <br /> In connection with the com::r~mication from J. R. Walker, Jr., Attorney at Law~ representin <br /> 14arcella %,[right: relating to the requirements for street improvements~ etc. as shown on a subdivision <br /> ~at~ of Hawarden Estates~ it was moved by Councilman Sr:~.~tz~ seconded by Council~3n Johnson~ and duly <br /> carried~ that the Subdivider be reo~aested to proceed with the improvements on Hawarden Drive, the City <br /> <br /> to retain rights of way on Appian Way without requiring i]~rovements thereon. <br /> This motion carried by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: CounciDnen Backstrand~ Bergin~ Johnson~ O'Neill and Smutz. <br /> ~oes: Councilman Bonnett. <br /> Absent: Council~{n Voris. <br /> <br /> I% was ,:oved by Council;~an Johnson~ seconded by Counci~:.an Backstrand~ and duly carried~ <br /> that pursuant to the reco'.~nendation of the City Manager~ the proposal of Tony Ramirez to raze the <br /> two existing structures located at 371~ Orange Street, Riverside, for which he will pay to the City <br /> the sum of $26.80, be accepted~ and that all other bids be rejected and that the bonds submitted with <br /> said rejected bids be released from further liability; and that the City Attorney be authorize~ and <br /> inst~cted to prepare the necessary contract~ ~na that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to ex- <br /> ecute said Contract for and on behalf of the City of Riverside~ and that an adequate faithful t~erfo~m~- <br /> ance bond and cer~mfmc,.~es of insurance be furnished to the City; the backfilling of the hole to be <br /> made a separate bid item. <br /> <br /> This motion carried by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Councilmen Backstrand~ Ber6in~ Bonnett~ Johnson~ O'Neill and Sn~tz. <br /> <br /> Noes: None. <br /> <br /> Absent: Counci~nan Voris. <br /> <br /> *** <br /> <br /> It was moved by Council~nn Bonnett, seconded by Counci~n O'Nei!l~ and duly carried~ <br /> bz~a~ pursuant to the reco~zendation of the Director of Public Works~ the City~.~o.,,ey~ ~-- t~e~ and he ~s <br /> hereby~ authorized to prepare vacation proceedi~s of ~h_ drainage easement to expedite th._ purchase <br /> of the land for the widening of Sp~.tce Street; the ~ablic Works De]~artment to furnish the necessary <br /> legal description <br /> <br /> This rDtion carried by the followin6 vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
