Charles Brown of the <br />Riverside Evangelical Association. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of December 24~ <br />proved as submitted. <br /> <br />1968, were ap- <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Cameron <br />Glasgow representing the Riverside CNamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS CO~iUNICATIONS AND REQUESTS <br /> <br /> FUND APPROPRIATION - SEWER FUND - CONSULTING SERVICES <br />As heretofore requested by the City Council, further consid- <br />eration was given the written report from the City Manager on <br />the proposed appropriation of additional money for profes- <br />sional consultant services and overtime in the Sewer Fund, <br />for data gathering for laboratory tests, in connection with <br />the proposed Industrial Waste Ordinance. The City Manager <br />provided revised information in the matter with revised <br />reconm~ended amounts to be appropriated. Questions from the <br />Members of the City Council were answered by the Public Ser- <br />vice Director regarding the testing process, and by Mr. Fin- <br />ley Laverty on the salu content increase over the period of <br />i964 to date. Following the discussion, the City Manager's <br />reco~endation was accepted as revised this date whereby <br />authorization was given the appropriation of $24,687.00 from <br />the Unappropriated Surplus in the Sewer Fund with $14,865.00 <br />to be used to pay for various consulting fees under Account <br />05-315-182 and thc smount of $9,822.00 to be used for over- <br />time under Account 05-316-11, of which amount $6,700.00 is <br />estimated for work in connection with the Industrial Waste <br />Ordinance for men to go out and take the tests. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 10:00 A~M. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE R-13-689 - 8123 MAGNOLIA AVENUE <br />10:00 A.M.--Hearing was called relative to the petition of <br />Cora S. Jackson et al, Boning Case R-13-689, to place approx- <br />imately one acre of land situated on the northwesterly side <br />of Magnolia Avenue, approximately 600 feet soutbwesterly of <br />Ca~terbury Road, being gl23 Magnolia Avenue, in Zone R-3 and <br />placing tile rear 95 feet of the property in Zone R-3-R, and <br />r~move the same from Zone R-1-65, said hearing was opened and <br />proceeded with. The co~mmunication from tim City Planning <br />Conm~ission stated that the Co~m~ission, by a vote of 8 ayes to <br />0 aGes, recon~nended granting of this rezoning subject to the <br />following conditlons: (2) There shall be a one-year time <br />limit in which to satisfy the foliowing conditions and final- <br />ize this action. If the zoning is not adopted within one <br />year of the date of introduction of the ordinance~ the action <br />taken on this petition shall be void. A time extension of <br />not more than one year may be requested of the City Council <br />by letter.
