Date of Meeting: ,o?~.-\~m'($\,\~.0 ~(~\~-~ <br /> Time of Meeting: . . <br />~Place of Meeting: Council Ch~ber, City Hall ~ ~%~'~5~? ~ <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />July 5, 1967 <br /> <br /> Roll Call: <br /> <br />;The Invocation was given by Rev~ <br />Pastor at Rose Garden Village~ <br /> <br />IThe Pledge o[ Allegiance was given to the Flag~ <br /> <br />IThe Minutes of the Meeting of June 27, 1967, were approved <br />~as submitted~ <br /> <br />I Dr~ Lulamae Clemons, Chairman of the Community Relations <br />~ Commissions presented to the City Council the Annual Report <br />I of the Commission~ Following questions and comments, the <br />I Report was accepted and Dr. Clemons and other Corm~ission <br />~Members present were thanked for appearzng at this time, <br /> <br />IThe newly appointed and reappointed Members of City Boards <br />[ and Commissions present, were given their Oath of Office; <br />[with the understanding that those who could not attend, wouldl <br />I take their Oaths at the City Clerk's office prior to attend- <br />~ing Meetings of their respective groups. <br /> <br />IThe Mayor presented a brief report on his recent attendance <br />~ at the United States Conference of Mayors held in Honolulu, <br /> <br />I At this time~ a short recess was called. <br /> <br />~Followlng the recess~ the City Manager was requested to <br />~ secure a coffee maker to be set up adjacent to the Council <br />I Chamber, so that morning coffee breaks could be taken right <br />, in City Hall~ <br /> <br />I 10:00 A,M.--The Mayor announced that this was the time set <br />i for consideration to remove the tentative C-1-A - Cormnunity <br />i Shopping Center Zone from all properties covered under Zoning <br />i Cases R-84-645, R-96-645 and R-102-645, located on the 96 <br />~ acres of land at 8432 through 8690 Magnolia Avenue; 3533 <br />. through 3767 Monroe Street; the 8400 and 8500 blocks of Diana <br />. Avenue~ and 3622 Adams Street; situated on the southerly side~ <br />~of Magnolia Avenue, the easterly side of Monroe Street, and <br />i the, northerly side of Diana Avenue, and the westerly side of <br />~ Adams Street, said hearing was opened and proceeded with, <br />~ The communication from the City Planning Commission stated <br />~ that the Cormnission recommended the City Council rescind the <br />~ action heretofore taken on these three cases, for all that <br />property not approved for split off~ Zhe Planning Director <br />[ presented departmental recommendations together with maps of <br />~ the area, Mr, Ralph DeMarco spoke on behalf of interested <br />] property owners~ requesting postponement of the decision on <br />~ the Post Office portion of the tentative C-l-A, at the <br />~ corner of Magnolia Avenue and Monroe Street, until a report <br />~ has been returned from the Post Office Department as to <br />. whether or not they still want the site~ No protests~ either~ <br />I written or oral, were presented.
