' Second iX i Ail Ayes sented ~ letter requesting that the City Charter be amen- , ded to allow Members of $he City Council to be elected by ~ ~histricts or %~ards and that the issue be placed on the ii November 1~60 Ballot to permit the voters to decide the issue; following discussion~ motion w~s m~%de that this matter be placed on the November B~I lot without a petition~ Motion being circulated. Following a roll call vote~ the M~yor Second iX~ declared the motion not to have carried for lack of a Ayes ~( I , i I,X"X majority vote · Noes X In consideration of the recorm~endation from the Purchasing, Director~ the bid of Southern Pipe and Casing Coml~my~ in , fittings for North Orange Street an~ the Hast-West Free- way; ~tl other bids were rejeeted~ and the bonds subm/tted' with the rejected bids released from further 1/ability; the City Attorney was authorized to prepa~ce the necessary bonds required in connection therewith. All Ayes the a~ount of $9,958.00, was mccepted for fu~r~shing the fittings for the Els,note Pump Station~ all other bids bids released from further liability~ the City Attorney w~s authorized to prepare the necessary contracts and execution of the contract was authorized upon ~pproval by Motion ~-~ connection therewith.
