CONSIDERATION OF STAFF, BOARD AND COMMISSION REPORTS ;aND CONSENT CALENDAR The following items were approved by one motion affirming the ~actions appropriate to those items listed on the Consent Calen- Idar and as submitted to the City Council for consideration, lwith the exception of consideration of bids for the Big Springs~ ~storm drain and valley gutter, and Canyon Crest medians from IVia Zapata to E1 Cerrito, both of which were removed to the I Discussion Calendar; and consideration of bids for a front flooder witg bucket, which was continued to the agenda of Janu- ~ary 9, 1973, for discussion; with Councilman Holcomb requestin: Motion ~n~s vote be recorded as "No" on tile adoption of Ordinance No. Second ,'3984 relating to outdoor displays, sales and storage lots. IOWA - P~ING VARIANCE DENI;kL I SIDE AND RZAR YARD SETBACK ~PROVAL i~A communication was presented from the Board of Zoning Adjust- ~ment advising the City Council that, on December 18, 1972, the IBoard, by a vote of 4 ayes to 0 noes, denied the request of ~Wallace J. Partridge, Zoning Case V-35-723, for variances to locate an off-street parking area in the required landscaped front setback and to reduce the total number of off-street parking spaces from the required 88 to 69; and, by a vote of 3 ayes to i no, granted, contrary to the Planning Department's recommendation, the request to waive the required 20-foot side and rear yard setbacks, for property in the 2100 block of Iowa Avenue in Zone ME (Manufacturing Park Zone); whereupon, it was the determination that this matter not be reviewed by the City IDESIGN REVIEW BOARD ~CASE DR-32-723 - VICTORIA AND WASHINGTON - TOWNHOUSES IA communication was presented from the Design Review Board ad- Ivising the City Council that, on December 27, 1972, the Board, ~by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved the building elevation~ Ifor a 95-unit condominium project for William B. and Grace G.
