VAC-4-912 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17925 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY O~ RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE INTENTION iTO 3 VACATE AN ALLEY BETWEEN NINTH STREET AND UNIVERSITY AVENUE, NORTHWESTERLY OF ORANGE STREET; REFERRING 4 TO A MAP ON FILE AND RESERVING PERMANENT EASEMEINTS AND RIGHTS OF WAY FOR GAS LINE AND ELECTRICAL ENERGY 5 DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 18340 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE, AND DETERMINIiNG 6 THAT THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUI!RE THE RESERVATION OF SUCH EASEMENTS AS PROVIDED IN SEiCTION ? 8341 OF SAID CODE; AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING. 8 9 RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside as 10 follows: 11 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the 12 City of Riverside, California, to vacate an alley approximately 13 5 feet wide by approximately 57 feet long between Ninth Street 14 and University Avenue, northwesterly of Orange Street, upon the 15 grounds and for the reason that said alley is unnecessary for 16 present or future public use. The said City Council hereby 17 elects and expresses its election to proceed to vacate said 18 alley pursuant to the provisions of the Public Streets, 19 Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law, being Sections 20 8300 et seq. of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways 21 Code of the State of California. 22 2. That the alley which it is the intention of the City 23 Council to vacate is located in the City of Riverside, County of 24 Riverside, State of California, and is more particularly 25 described in the document attached hereto, marked Exhibit A, and 26 by this reference made a part hereof. 27 3.
