1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> 12 <br /> <br /> 13 <br /> <br /> 14 <br /> <br /> 15 <br /> <br /> 16 <br /> <br /> 17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 755 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING CERTAIN <br />FINDINGS REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION AND <br />INSTALLATION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, WHICH ARE <br />OF BENEFIT TO THE ARLINGTON REDEVELOPMENT <br />PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside ("Agency") desires and <br />intends to construct and install public improvements consisting of landscaping and irrigation in a <br />vacant portion of Arlington Park within the Arlington Redevelopment Project (the "Project Area''); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the lack of landscaping and irrigation in the Project Area creates a visual blight <br />and serves as a deterrent to the economic health of local businesses and to the establishment of new <br />businesses in the Project Area, thereby constituting economic blight; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Arlington Park Improvements will create additional recreational areas in a <br />public park, improve the visual appearance of Arlington Park and assist in the enhancement of the <br />quality of life for residential neighborhoods within and around the Arlington Project Area thereby <br />benefitting the Project Area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Arlington Park Improvements are anticipated to enhance and promote the <br />revitalization of the businesses in Arlington Village as well as the residential neighborhoods in the <br />Project Area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 33445 provides that the Agency may, with the <br />consent of the legislative body, pay all or part of the value of the land for, and the cost of the <br />installation and construction of, any building, facility, structure, or other improvements that is <br />publicly owned either within or without the Project Area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency Board of the City <br />of Riverside, California as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
