CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNClLMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />1:30 p.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />September 21,2004 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />In the absence of Mayor Loveridge, Mayor Pro Tempore Gage called the <br />meeting to order at 11 a.m. in the Mayor's Ceremonial Room. <br /> <br />WORKSHOP/LUNCHEON <br /> <br />FUTURE GOAL DEFINITION OF NEIGHBORHOODS AND LIVABLE <br />COMMUNITY <br />Following discussion relative to the future goal definition of Neighborhoods <br />and Livable Community, the City Council, without formal motion, (1) received <br />and ordered filed the report; and (2) requested each department return to the <br />City Council within 90 days with a plan of action for the Neighborhoods and <br />Livable Communities goal. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 12:45 p.m. and reconvened at 1:05 p.m. in the <br />Art Pick Council Chamber with all Councilmembers present and Mayor Pro <br />Tempore Gage presiding in the absence of Mayor Loveridge. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no comments presented at this time. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSIONS <br />The City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for closed <br />sessions pursuant to Government Code (1) §54957 for evaluation of the <br />performance, employment, appointment, discipline, dismissal, and release of <br />the City Attorney; (2) §54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal <br />counsel concerning one case of anticipated litigation; (3) §54957.6 to review <br />the City Council's position and instruct designated representatives regarding <br />salaries, salary schedules, or compensation paid in the form of fringe benefits <br />for Fire Management Unit, Riverside City Firefighter's Association, Riverside <br />Police Officers Association (Police and Police Supervisory Units), Service <br />Employees International Union, Service Employees International Union- <br />Refuse, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; and <br />(4) §54957.6 to review the City Council's position and instruct designated <br />representatives regarding salaries, salary schedules, or compensation paid in <br />the form of fringe benefits for all Executive Management, Management, and <br />Confidential employees, as defined by PERS. <br /> <br />The City Council returned to the Art Pick Council Chamber at 2:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />90-121 <br /> <br /> <br />
