CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />10 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />September 14, 2004 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m. in the Mayor's <br />Ceremonial Room. <br /> <br />WORKSHOPS <br /> <br />Councilmember Hart was excused during the following discussion and left the <br />Mayor's Ceremonial Room. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge excused himself during the following discussion and left the <br />Mayor's Ceremonial Room and Mayor Pro Tempore Gage presided. <br /> <br />JOINT ITEM WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FUTURE GOAL <br />DEFINITION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Following discussion relative to the future goal definition for economic <br />development, the City Council, without formal motion, received and ordered <br />filed the report. <br /> <br />JOINT ITEM WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - FISCAL YEAR 2004-05 <br />REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PRIORITIES - SUPPLEMENTAL APPROP. <br />Following discussion relative to the Fiscal Year 2004-05 Redevelopment <br />project priorities, the City Council (1) approved the development project <br />priorities outlined in the Investment Strategy for Fiscal Year 2004-05 attached <br />to the staff report; and (2) approved the addition of three limited duration <br />project manager positions to the Development Division's Downtown <br />development team. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 11:45 a.m. and reconvened at 12:05 p.m. in the <br />Art Pick Council Chamber with all Councilmembers present and Mayor <br />Loveridge presiding. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no comments presented at this time. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSIONS - CONTINUED IN PART TO LATER IN THE DAY <br /> <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for a <br />closed session pursuant to Government Code {}54957 to consider candidates <br />for appointment as Intedm City Manager. The closed sessions pertaining to <br />Government Code (1) {}54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from <br />legal counsel concerning one case of anticipated litigation; (2) §54956.9 to <br />confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning State of <br /> <br />90-109 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
