CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNClLMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />10 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />September 7, 2004 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. in the Mayor's <br />Ceremonial Room. <br /> <br />WORKSHOPS <br /> <br />FUTURE GOAL DEFINITION OF GROWTH/ANNEXATION <br />Following discussion relative to the future goal definition of <br />growth/annexation, the City Council, without formal motion, received and <br />ordered filed the report. <br /> <br />FUTURE GOAL DEFINITION OF TRANSPORTATION/TRANSIT <br />CONTINUED <br />Following discussion relative to the future goal definition of transportation/ <br />transit, the City Council, without formal motion, continued the discussion to a <br />future workshop. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 11:55 a.m. and reconvened at 12:10 p.m. in the <br />Art Pick Council Chamber. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Pat Ames, Ken Strout, Ofelia Valdez-Yeager, Esther Andrews, Peter <br />Benevidez, Jennifer Vaughn-Blakely, Katie Green, Rich Stalder, Mark Otjen, <br />Lisa Munoz, Damon Castillo, Jr., Vickie Jackson, and Chani Beeman spoke <br />in support of the City Manager. Mary Shelton spoke regarding Wayne <br />Stewart and the City Manager. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSIONS/LUNCHEON - CONTINUED IN PART TO LATER IN <br /> <br />THE DAY <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for a <br />closed session pursuant to Government Code (1) §54957 for evaluation of <br />the performance, employment, appointment, discipline, dismissal, and <br />release of the City Manager. The closed sessions pertaining to Government <br />Code (1) §54957.6 to review the City Council's position and instruct <br />designated representatives regarding salaries, salary schedules, or <br />compensation paid in the form of fringe benefits for Fire Management Unit, <br />Riverside City Firefighter's Association, Riverside Police Officers Association <br />(Police and Police Supervisory Units), Service Employees International <br />Union, Service Employees International Union-Refuse, and International <br />Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; and (2) {}54957.6 to review the City <br />Council's position and instruct designated representatives regarding salaries, <br /> <br />90-92 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br /> <br />
