CITY OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL COUNCILMEMBERS Minutes of: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Date of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council 11 a.m. Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall August 24, 2004 WARDS Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 11 a.m. in the Mayor's Ceremonial Room. WORKSHOP INTRA-COUNCIL RELATIONS Following discussion relative to intra-council relations, the City Council requested staff to add an item to all future agendas entitled; "Items for future City Council consideration". RECESS The City Council recessed at 12:15 p.m. and reconvened at 1:05 p.m. in the Art Pick Council Chamber. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE There were no comments presented at this time. CLOSED SESSIONS The Mayor and City Council recessed for closed sessions pursuant to Government Code (1) §54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning two cases of anticipated litigation; (2) §54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning Mark McEIroy, et al. v. City of Riverside, et al. - RCSC Case No. RIC 396658; (3) §54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning Community Health Corporation, etc. v. City of Riverside, et al. - RCSC Case No. RIC 402032; (4) §54956.9 to confer with and/or receive advice from legal counsel concerning Anthony D. Dowdy, et al. v. City of Riverside, et al. - USDC Case No. ED CV04-0095RT (AJWx); (5) §54957.6 to review the City Council's position and instruct designated representatives regarding salaries, salary schedules, or compensation paid in the form of fringe benefits for all Executive Management, Management, and Confidential employees, as defined by PERS; and (6) §54957.6 to review the City Council's position and instruct designated representatives regarding salaries, salary schedules, or compensation paid in the form of fringe benefits for Fire Management Unit, Riverside City Firefighter's Association, Riverside Police Officers Association (Police and Police Supervisory Units), Service Employees International Union, Service Employees International Union- Refuse, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
