1 ORDINANCE NO. 6433 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 9 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE 3 BY AMENDING CHAPTER 9.05 RELATING TO THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE CITY. 4 5 The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, does ordain, as follows: 6 Section 1: Title 9 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Chapter 7 9.05 to read, as follows: 8 ;'POSSESSION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON POSTED PREMISES AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN PUBLIC PLACES" 9 Sections: 10 9.05.010 Definitions. 11 9.05.020 Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container. 9.05.030 Consumption of Alcoholic Beverage. 12 9.05.040 Presumption Regarding Consumption. 9.05.050 Exemption. 13 9.05.060 Penalty. 9.05.070 Severability. 14 15 9.05.010 DEFINITIONS. 16 "Alcoholic beverage" as used in this chapter, means and includes alcohol, spirits, liquor, wine, beer and every liquid or solid comaining alcohol, spirits, wine or beer, and which comains one-half 17 of one percent or more of alcohol by volume and which is fit for beverage purposes either alone or when dilmed, mixed, or combined with other substances. 18 "Posted premises" as used in this chapter, means those premises in the City which are subject 19 to licensure under any retail package off-sale alcoholic beverage license, the parking lot immediately adjacent to the licensed premises and any public sidewalk immediately adjacent to the 20 licensed premises on which clearly visible notices indicate to the patrons of the licensee and parking lot and to persons on the public sidewalk that the provisions of Section 9.05.020(A) of this 21 code are applicable. 22 "Public place" as used in this chapter, includes any City park; any municipally owned, leased or operated public property, building or facility; and any public street, sidewalk, alley, playground, 23 parkway, or any place open to the patronage of the public which premises are not licensed for the consumption of such alcoholic beverage thereon. 24 25 9.05.020 POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTAINER. 26 A.
