1 ORDINANCE NO. 6433 <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br /> AMENDING TITLE 9 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> 3 BY AMENDING CHAPTER 9.05 RELATING TO THE POSSESSION <br /> AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE CITY. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, does ordain, as follows: <br /> 6 Section 1: Title 9 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Chapter <br /> 7 9.05 to read, as follows: <br /> 8 ;'POSSESSION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON POSTED PREMISES AND <br /> CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN PUBLIC PLACES" <br /> 9 <br /> Sections: <br /> 10 <br /> 9.05.010 Definitions. <br /> 11 9.05.020 Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container. <br /> 9.05.030 Consumption of Alcoholic Beverage. <br /> 12 9.05.040 Presumption Regarding Consumption. <br /> 9.05.050 Exemption. <br /> 13 9.05.060 Penalty. <br /> 9.05.070 Severability. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 9.05.010 DEFINITIONS. <br /> 16 "Alcoholic beverage" as used in this chapter, means and includes alcohol, spirits, liquor, wine, <br /> beer and every liquid or solid comaining alcohol, spirits, wine or beer, and which comains one-half <br /> 17 of one percent or more of alcohol by volume and which is fit for beverage purposes either alone or <br /> when dilmed, mixed, or combined with other substances. <br /> 18 <br /> "Posted premises" as used in this chapter, means those premises in the City which are subject <br /> 19 to licensure under any retail package off-sale alcoholic beverage license, the parking lot <br /> immediately adjacent to the licensed premises and any public sidewalk immediately adjacent to the <br /> 20 licensed premises on which clearly visible notices indicate to the patrons of the licensee and <br /> parking lot and to persons on the public sidewalk that the provisions of Section 9.05.020(A) of this <br /> 21 code are applicable. <br /> 22 "Public place" as used in this chapter, includes any City park; any municipally owned, leased <br /> or operated public property, building or facility; and any public street, sidewalk, alley, playground, <br /> 23 parkway, or any place open to the patronage of the public which premises are not licensed for the <br /> consumption of such alcoholic beverage thereon. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 9.05.020 POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTAINER. <br /> 26 A.
