Yrizarry 11252 Cullen Court Riverside, CA 92505 Subject: Massage Permit Appeal; Our File No.04-1192 Dear Ms. Yrizarry: On June 14, 2004, the Massage Appeal Committee of the City of Riverside, convened for the purpose of hearing your appeal from the denial of your application for a massage establishment permit under Chapter 5.52 of the Riverside Municipal Code. After consideration of the documentary evidence and oral testimony from the appellant, as well as a representative from the Riverside Police Department, the Massage Appeal Committee denied the appeal. Under Section 5.52.100 the decision of the Massage Appeal Committee is final with no right of further appeal to the City Council. However, after careful deliberation, the Massage Appeal Committee directed the City Attorney to review the current ordinance and recommend any modification thereto. We will research the Massage Ordinances of other municipalities and confer with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork within the next 30-60 days.
