CITY OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL COUNCILMEMBERS Minutes of: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Date of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council 9:30 a.m. Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall June 22, 2004 WARDS Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Ceremonial Room. RECESS The City Council recessed at 9:40 a.m. and reconvened at 10 a.m. with the Mayor and all Councilmembers present. WORKSHOP MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL, AND CITY MANAGER STRATEGIC GOALS/BOARD DEVELOPMENT Following discussion relative to the strategic goals and board development between the Mayor, City Council, and City Manager, the City Council determined the 2004-05 priorities as follows: (1) economic development; (2)annexation; (3)transportation; (4) neighborhoods; and (5) livable community. Following further discussion, the City Council requested the City Manager report back in 60 days in a work session to further define the 2004-05 City Council priorities. Following further discussion and without formal motion, the City Council requested a workshop be conducted on July 27, 2004, to further discuss Mayor/City Council/City Manager relations with the City Manager, Mayor, and Mayor Pro Tempore to develop the workshop format. RECESS The City Council recessed at 11:35 a.m. and reconvened at 1:10 p.m. in the Art Pick Council Chamber. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE There were no comments presented at this time. CLOSED SESSIONS The Mayor and City Council recessed to the City Council Board Room for closed sessions pursuant to Government Code (1) §54956.8 to instruct the City's negotiators, George A. Caravalho and Bob Hall, regarding price and terms of payment for the purchase, sale, exchange, or lease of 2011 Spruce Street; 1919 Massachusetts Avenue; and 2880 Hulen Place by Don and Donna Luginbill, Trustees of the Family Trust of Don and Donna Luginbill; 89-501 Present Motion Second All Ayes Motion Second All Ayes
