MASSAGE APPEAL COMMITTEE <br />TUESDAY, APRIL 16, 2004, 7:30 A.M. <br />MAYOR'S CEREMONIAL ROOM <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br /> <br />Members Ted Pena, Chair Steve Adams, and Ed Adkison <br /> <br />City Attorney Gregory Priamos, City Clerk Colleen Nicol, <br />Capt. Cannon, Sgt. Loftus, Appellant Cai Hua Hu, and John <br />Lieu <br /> <br />Chair Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no oral comments presented at this time. <br /> <br /> MASSAGE PERMIT DENIAL - APPEAL - CAI HUA HU <br />Following discussion, a report from Capt. James Cannon and Sgt. Bruce Loftus, <br />and comments from Appellant Kathy Perez and John Lieu, the appeal hearing <br />was closed. Following further discussion, and without formal motion, the <br />Committee unanimously (1) upheld the decision of the Chief of Police in denying <br />the application of Cai Hua Hu for a Massage Permit; and (2) requested the City <br />Attorney to issue notice of the denial and provide the Code requirements for <br />issuance of a massage permit.
