1 RESOLUTION NO. 18422 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO 3 ORDER THE FORMATION OF THE OVERLOOK PARKWAY LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT AND TO LEVY AND 4 COLLECT ASSESSMENTS ON LAND THEREIN PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972 FOR THE 5 INSTALLATION AND PLANTING OF LANDSCAPING, AND THE MAINTENANCE OR SERVICING OF SUCH LANDSCAPING 6 IMPROVEMENTS, AND GIVING NOTICE OF AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF A MEETING AND A HEARING ON THE 7 FORMATION OF SAID ASSESSMENT DISTRICT. 8 9 WHEREAS on October 12, 1993 the City Council (hereinafter, 10 the ("Council") of the City of Riverside, California (hereinafter, 11 the "City"), adopted Resolution No. 18357 initiating proceedings 12 for the formation of an assessment district pursuant to the 13 Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, as set forth in Part 2 14 (commencing with Section 22500) of Division 15 of the Streets and 15 Highways Code, to be designated as the "Overlook Parkway Landscape 16 Maintenance District, City of Riverside, County of Riverside, 17 State of California", for the installation and planting of 18 landscaping, the installation of irrigation systems, and the 19 maintenance and servicing of the aforementioned improvements; 20 WHEREAS by said resolution, the Council ordered 21 Christensen, Inc. (hereinafter, the "Engineer") employed by the 22 City for the purposes of assisting the City with the formation of 23 the proposed assessment district, to prepare and file a report 24 with the City Clerk in accordance with Article 4 (commencing with.. 25 Section 22565) of Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Division 15 of the 26 Streets and Highways Code; and 27 WHEREAS said Engineer has filed such report with the City Atto~ey's O~ce ~re~ CA 92522 782-5567 F:/WPDATA/RES194002201.SY
