CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNClLMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />9:30 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />May 25, 2004 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's <br />Ceremonial Room. <br /> <br />WORKSESSIONS <br /> <br />FISCAL YEAR 2004-05 PERLIMINARY ANNUAL BUDGET REVIEW - <br />CONTINUED IN PART <br />City Manager George Caravalho presented an overview of the Fiscal Year <br />2004-05 Preliminary Annual Budget. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br />Following discussion and without formal motion, the City Council approved <br />the upgrade of Administrative Services Manager to Deputy Public Works <br />Director/Operations. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schiavone was excused during the following matter and left <br />the Mayor's Ceremonial Room. <br /> <br />Following further discussion, the City Council tentatively approved the <br />proposed Fiscal Year 2004-05 Budget of the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br />Following discussion, motion was made and seconded to request staff to <br />investigate opportunities with University of California, Riverside (UCR) <br />regarding use of the Sports Complex and return with recommendations to the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Following discussion, the motion was withdrawn. <br /> <br />Following further discussion, the City Council tentatively approved the <br />proposed Fiscal Year 2004-05 Budget of the Park and Recreation <br />Department. <br /> <br />Without formal motion, the Proposed Fiscal Year 2004-05 Budgets of the <br />Planning, Development, Mayor, City Council, and City Clerk Departments <br />were continued. <br /> <br />3resent <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />Ayes <br />Noes <br /> <br />89-446 <br /> <br /> <br />
