CITY OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL COUNClLMEMBERS Minutes of: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Date of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council 9:30 a.m. Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall May 25, 2004 WARDS Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Ceremonial Room. WORKSESSIONS FISCAL YEAR 2004-05 PERLIMINARY ANNUAL BUDGET REVIEW - CONTINUED IN PART City Manager George Caravalho presented an overview of the Fiscal Year 2004-05 Preliminary Annual Budget. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Following discussion and without formal motion, the City Council approved the upgrade of Administrative Services Manager to Deputy Public Works Director/Operations. Councilmember Schiavone was excused during the following matter and left the Mayor's Ceremonial Room. Following further discussion, the City Council tentatively approved the proposed Fiscal Year 2004-05 Budget of the Public Works Department. PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT Following discussion, motion was made and seconded to request staff to investigate opportunities with University of California, Riverside (UCR) regarding use of the Sports Complex and return with recommendations to the City Council. Following discussion, the motion was withdrawn. Following further discussion, the City Council tentatively approved the proposed Fiscal Year 2004-05 Budget of the Park and Recreation Department. Without formal motion, the Proposed Fiscal Year 2004-05 Budgets of the Planning, Development, Mayor, City Council, and City Clerk Departments were continued. 3resent Motion Second All Ayes Motion Second Motion Second Ayes Noes 89-446
