CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2024, 1 P.M. <br />• PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City fArts&Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson and Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, <br />Conder, Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Perry gave the Invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Councilwoman Plascencia joined the meeting during public comments. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Faye Marshman spoke regarding a halfway house in Arlington Heights neighborhood. <br />Mary Humboldt spoke regarding a halfway house in Arlington Heights neighborhood, <br />forming a task force for rehabilitation facilities and CalTrans meeting regarding freeway <br />widening from Jackson Street to Mary Street. Michele Sheehe spoke regarding residential <br />treatment housing. Malissa McKeith spoke regarding residential treatment housing and <br />Urban Forestry Manual on the Consent Calendar. Mike McCarthy spoke regarding the <br />March Air Force Base Upper Plateau Project and warehousing event at University of <br />California, Riverside. One caller spoke regarding the Code of Ethics and Conduct. One <br />caller spoke regarding retail theft and video with Governor Gavin Newsom. Warren <br />Lacker spoke regarding Gavin Newsom video. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Edwards reported on the Annual Black History Parade and Expo, <br />Northside Neighborhood improvement and Downtown Area Neighborhood Alliance <br />meetings, and lunch office hours on Valentines Day. Councilmember Cervantes thanked <br />the Volunteers for Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful event and reported on the Eastside <br />Residents of Eastside Active Leadership meeting, University Neighborhood meeting, Black <br />History Parade and Expo, flag raising ceremony for Black History Month, and recognition <br />of the Judith Hernandez Exhibition at The Cheech Museum. Councilmember Fierro <br />reported on Vicinity Healthcare Grand opening on Brockton Avenue. Councilmember <br />Conder reported on Riverside County Transportation Commission workshop, Public Safety <br />Neighborhood tour, Mission Banquet at Wood Crest Christian High School, constituent <br />with water pressure was resolved and thanked staff for their assistance.
