CITY OF <br />IZIVEIZSIDE <br />City of Arts &Innovation <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2023, 6:30 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Chair Gildardo Oceguera, Vice Chair Rebeccah Goldware and Board <br />Members Nancy Melendez, Rosemary Heru, Brian Siana, Peter Wohlgemuth, <br />David Crohn, and Gary Montgomery <br />ABSENT: Board Member Nipunjeet Gujral <br />Chair Oceguera called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br />Vice Chair Goldware led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There was no one wishing to address the Board of Public Utilities. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Crohn and seconded by Member Siana to approve the Consent <br />Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item with the <br />exception of the capital expenditure for Work Order 2224356 for the Orangecrest Substation <br />to Springs Substation Fiber Optic Cable Upgrade Project item removed from the Consent <br />Calendar for separate discussion. The motion carried unanimously with Board Member Gujral <br />absent. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of October 23, 2023, were approved as presented. <br />ABSENCE <br />The Board of Public Utilities excused the absence of Board Member Crohn from the Board of <br />Public Utilities meeting held September 25, 2023. <br />ABSENCE <br />The Board of Public Utilities excused the absence of Board Member Gujral from the Board of <br />Public Utilities meeting held September 25, 2023. <br />MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT - SOLAR ENERGY (SC-RISE)/SOLAR VALLEY CONSORTIUM <br />The Board of Public Utilities recommended that City Council (1) approve the City's <br />Membership Agreement with University of California Riverside Southern California Research <br />Initiative for a two-year term with Solar Energy (SC-RISE)/Solar Valley Consortium in the annual <br />amount of $5,000 through FY 2024/25; (2) designate Public Utilities General Manager or their <br />designee to represent the City of Riverside at meetings of the SC-Rise/Solar Valley Consortium <br />1 <br />
