BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JUNE 26, 2023, 6:30 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City SArts&Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Chair Gildardo Oceguera, Vice Chair Rebeccah Goldware and Board <br />Members David Crohn, Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, Gary <br />Montgomery, Brian Siana, and Peter Wohlgemuth <br />ABSENT: Member Nipunjeet Gujral <br />Chair Oceguera called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Member Heru led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There was no one wishing to address the Board of Public Utilities. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Melendez and seconded by Member Siana to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each item. The <br />motion carried unanimously with Member Gujral absent. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of June 12, 2023, were approved as presented. <br />ABSENCE <br />The Board of Public Utilities excused the absence of Board Member Gujral from the Board of <br />Public Utilities meeting held May 8, 2023, due to a work conflict. <br />PURCHASE, SALE AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT - SALE OF VACANT CITY -OWNED LAND <br />BEARING ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 223-150-009 AND FORMERLY KNOWN AS MAGNOLIA <br />SUBSTATION - SOUTHEASTERLY CORNER OF CENTRAL AVENUE BETWEEN NORTHBOUND EXIT OF <br />STATE ROUTE 91 FREEWAY AND ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY (AT&SF RAILWAY) <br />The Board of Public Utilities recommended that City Council (1) approve the Purchase, Sale <br />and Development Agreement with Central 91, LP for the sale of approximately 20,328 square <br />feet of vacant City -owned land located at the southeasterly corner of Central Avenue <br />between the northbound exit of the State Route 91 freeway and the AT&SF Railway, <br />bearing Assessor's Parcel Number 223-150-009, for the sale price of $158,000; and <br />(2) authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the agreement including making <br />minor, non -substantive changes, to sign all documents and instruments necessary to <br />complete this transaction, and to expend up to $10,000 for title, escrow, and miscellaneous <br />related closing costs. <br />
