CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />8:30 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />April 13, 2004 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 8:45 a.m. in the Mayor's <br />Ceremonial Room. <br /> <br />WORKSHOP <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES AN[) MARKETING PLANS <br />Following discussion, regarding existing regional and local economic <br />development strategies and marketing plans, recent successes, and past and <br />future challenges, the City Council set priorities and offered direction to staff <br />on the economic development strategies and marketing plans. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 11:15 a.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. in the Art <br />Pick Council Chamber with the Mayor and all Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The closed session pursuant to Government Code §54956.8 to instruct the <br />City's Negotiators, Bob Hall and James Smith, regarding price and terms of <br />payment for the purchase, sale, exchange, or lease of APN's 239-160-001, <br />010, 005, 006, 007, and 009 located on the southeasterly corner of Victoria <br />Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard bounded by Gibson Street and Cleveland <br />Avenue and 2547 Van Buren Boulevard by Ricky and Frances Scoggins, <br />Hong Jyi Lin and Mei Chi Lin, and James and Marion Selle, Negotiators, <br />respectively, was not held. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND PLANNING REFERRALS AND APPEALS <br /> <br />CASE P03-1159 - CODE AMENDMENT - CULTURAL RESOURCES - <br />CONTINUED <br />Hearing was called on the proposal of the City of Riverside Planning <br />Department to amend the Cultural Resources Ordinance (Title 20) to correct <br />clerical errors. Following discussion, the City Council continued the hearing <br />to 3 p.m. on May 4, 2004. <br /> <br />CASE P03-0621 - GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT - 8706-8794 INDIANA <br />AND 3310-3374 MONROE <br />Hearing was called on the proposed General Plan amendment by Enterak, <br />LLC, to amend the land use designation of approximately 9.7 acres of land at <br />8706-8794 Indiana Avenue and 3310-3374 Monroe Street, situated at the <br />southwesterly corner of Indiana Avenue and Monroe Street from RMD to <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />89-377 <br /> <br /> <br />
