BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, MAY 22, 2023, 6:30 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN-PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />City SArts&Innovation ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE, CA 92522 <br />PRESENT: Chair Gildardo Oceguera, Vice Chair Rebeccah Goldware, and Board <br />Members David Crohn, Nipunjeet Gujral, Rosemary Heru, Nancy Melendez, <br />Gary Montgomery, Brian Siana, and Peter Wohlgemuth <br />ABSENT: None <br />Chair Oceguera called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Member Goldware led the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Malissa McKeith spoke regarding indoor, industrial, municipal, and residential water used in <br />2023. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Power Resources Manager Tracy Sato provided the Riverside Public Utilities sustainability <br />efforts update. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Member Melendez and seconded by Member Gujral to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions appropriate to each. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of May 8, 2023, were approved as presented. <br />ABSENCE <br />The Board of Public Utilities excused the absence of Board Member Crohn from the Board of <br />Public Utilities meeting held April 10, 2023, due to personal reasons. <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO COMMERCIAL LEASE AGREEMENT - EXTENSION OF RENT <br />COMMENCEMENT DATES AND EXPIRATION DATES - 1388 SOUTH E. STREET, SAN BERNARDINO <br />The Board of Public Utilities recommended that the City Council (1) approve a First <br />Amendment to the Commercial Lease Agreement with WattEV, SBI, Inc., to amend the rent <br />commencement date to October 1, 2023 and the lease expiration date to September 30, <br />2038, for City -owned property located at 1388 South E. Street, San Bernardino, California; <br />(2) authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the First Amendment, including <br />making minor, non -substantive changes, and to sign all documents and instruments <br />necessary to complete the transaction; and (3) authorize the City Manager, or designee, to <br />
