W A T E R E N E R G Y L I F E <br />RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />P <br />UB LIC UTILITIES Board Memorandum <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />DATE: JUNE 12, 2023 <br />SUBJECT: SERVER EQUIPMENT AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES NECESSARY FOR <br />SECURITY CAMERA AND VIDEO STORAGE SYSTEM UPGRADES IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $310,985.70 PLUS 15% CHANGE ORDER AUTHORITY FOR A <br />TOTAL AMOUNT OF $357,634 <br />ISSUE: <br />Consider approving an expenditure for server equipment and professional services necessary to <br />upgrade security camera and video storage systems in the amount of $310,985.70 plus 15% <br />change order authority for a total amount of $357,634. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />1 11111 2mm im l-TeW-0 1111 i[_ <br />Approve an expenditure for the amount of $294,105.70 for equipment from Dell, Inc., of <br />Round Rock, Texas, under NASPO Cooperative Purchasing Agreement MNWNC-108; <br />2. Approve an expenditure for the amount of $16,880 for software upgrade services from <br />Convergint Technologies, under the Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement 030421 -CTL; <br />3. Recommend that the City Council approve software upgrade services from Convergint <br />Technologies, in the amount of $16,880 under the Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement <br />030421 -CTL; and <br />4. Approve 15% change order authority for the Electric and Water Fund's portions of the <br />project for any unforeseen additional costs. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On October 17, 2017, City Council approved the Innovation & Technology Department's Measure <br />Z Spending Plan: Phase 1, which included updates to the City's internal Video Security Policy and <br />plans to bring City security cameras into compliance with California Government Code Section <br />34090.6 which (among other things) requires a one-year video retention. <br />On December 17, 2019, City Council awarded an agreement to Vector Resources, Inc., of Rancho <br />Cucamonga, California, for Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 1926. <br />
