1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />2711 <br />28 <br />O YATTORNEY'Sou[CO <br />3900 MA[N,I rntmr <br />R[vus[oa, CA 92522 <br />(951) 9265567 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-1 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (1) ADOPTING REVISED ELECTRIC FEES <br />AND CHARGES SCHEDULE (APPENDIX A), ELECTRIC RULE 22, WATER <br />FEES AND CHARGES SCHEDULE (APPENDIX A), WATER RULE 8, <br />WATER RULE 10, WATER RULE 11, WATER RULE 13, WATER RULE 14, <br />WATER RULE 16, WATER SCHEDULE WA -2, AND WATER SCHEDULE <br />WA -5; (2) MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; AND (3) RECOMMENDING <br />CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, the City of Riverside's ("City") Department of Public Utilities ("RPU") has <br />submitted for action by the Board of Public Utilities ("Board") and the City Council, the <br />proposed adoption and approval of revised Electric Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A), <br />Electric Rule 22, Water Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A), Water Rule 8, Water Rule 10, <br />Water Rule 11, Water Rule 13, Water Rule 14, Water Rule 16, Water Schedule WA -2, .and <br />Water Schedule WA -5; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 21, 2011, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 22228 to amend <br />Electric Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A) and Water Fees and Charges Schedule <br />(Appendix A) for charges imposed for a specific government service provided directly to the <br />customer that is not provided to those not charged, and does not exceed the reasonable costs <br />incurred by the City in the provisions of these services, or are charged imposed as a condition of <br />property development; and <br />WHEREAS, the Water Fees and Charges Schedule (Appendix A) was updated on <br />February 4, 2020, when the City Council adopted Resolution No. 23547 in response to Senate <br />Bill 998 to prohibit low-income residential water service from being disconnected before a 48 -hr <br />disconnection notice, an amortized payment plan, and a reduced same day reconnection fee of <br />$50; and <br />WHEREAS, the Electric and Water Fees and Charges Schedules have not otherwise been <br />updated since 2011; and <br />1 <br />
