PETITION TO RETURN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD TO ITS' PROPER,
WARD -4, REPRESENTATION AREA
We, the undersigned residents of Ward 4, living in the neighborhood bounded by Alessandro
Boulevard, Via Vista Drive and Canyon Crest Drive, respectfully insist that our neighborhood
be returned to its' rightful designation and restored into the Ward 4 boundaries of Riverside.
According to the California Citizens Redistricting Commission, "Districts must respect the
boundaries of cities, counties, neighborhoods and Communities of Interest, and minimize
their division, to the extent possible." It also states that boundaries "should maintain the
continuity of existing Wards to the extent possible." The Presidential Neighborhoods
currently in Ward 4 are a contiguous series of neighborhoods, all assigned to the King School
District, and have been tied together as a community for more than 30 years. The 2012 Census
numbers allow for it and the stated rules of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission
require that our neighborhood be immediately redrawn back into Ward 4 where it belongs.
By our signature, we verify that we agree with our neighborhood's immediate return -and
re -inclusion into the Ward 4 boundary area where it belongs.
NAMESTREET ADDRESS SIGNATURE
(please print) (property owners or residents)
